Ryan Karels is the representative comedian for all of North Dakota (Huffington Post, 2011) and improvises at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre with Grandma's Ashes. He performs sketch comedy every month in the show Characters Welcome. Ryan is one of KROMPF. Previous Harold Night (improv) teams were Decoster, Creep and Filth. Past sketch shows at the UCB include Radio Rogue, The Ol' Factory, Intellectual Yoga, Your Favorite Thing, After School Super Power Hour, and The July 4. Off-Broadway with Les Freres Corbusier he performed in Hell House, Heddatron, Boozy, The Shaker Sisters, and The Franklin Thesis and was in the original cast of Gutenberg, the Musical! On television he has portrayed well-liked characters such as Derek McGillicuddy, Ryan, Dad, Matt Yaegar, Hank, other Dads, Guy with a Mullet, Dads of some kind, and the Google Horseman. He was in the movie THE MUSIC NEVER STOPPED (Lionsgate, based on a story by Oliver Sachs) and just completed filming ROMANCE IN THE DIGITAL AGE by Jason Michael Brescia.
